Have you seen my flash photo slideshow yet? I just upgraded it to the new Slideshowpro 1.60. I'm also using SSP Director which is a super sweet admin for it. It allows you to create albums and galleries and edit every aspect of your slideshow online. No messing with creating XML files by hand!
Slideshowpro is now even more advanced fully supporting video! What a godsend. Any professional photographer who wants to display photographs on their website should be using this script in my opinion. It is by far the best flash photo gallery slideshow you can get right now.
Yes you can embed your favorite audio track in the slideshow, but don't! No one likes having to listen to someone else's favorite music. Not everyone has the same tastes. Also it's annoying if you're already listening to music on your computer. Let your photos speak for themselves!
Do you index the pixtures of your flash slideshow?
How Do I have my pictures from flash slideshows indexed by Google?
I want to post several flash slideshows on my site, but I want Google be able to read the titles of my pictures, so that it can also help me in the SEO. What should I do to make it happen? I know that Search Engines have hard time to read flash
Is Sitemap the solution?
Hi,
I haven’t personally noticed my images from my slideshow indexed by Google yet but I’m not surprised that yours are. Google can index flash files so it’s possible that they can see the separate images in your flash slideshows.
My suggestion is if you do want your images indexed is to name the image files you upload to slideshowpro with descriptive keywords. So if you have images of landscapes or something I’d name the files like this “tucson-arizona-landscape,jpg” or something very descriptive.
If you had a photo of a Volkswagen bus I’d name it “1963-VW-Bus-21-window,jpg”. Basically be as descriptive as possible using keywords in the file name people actually use to search.
If you really want to get traffic from Google images I’d consider creating static html pages for each of your images. Include the image and a paragraph or two of descriptive text surrounding the image. And make sure you include alt tags of your images using almost the same keywords you did for the file name.
Hope that helps.
