The use of watercolour in design has exploded in popularity over the last few years, just like brush script fonts, vintage script fonts , hand-drawn fonts and flat UI design. I just had a design job recently which called for watercolour textures so I had the pleasure of searching the web for the best textures out there. Since I do a lot of research for design elements that will save me time I decided to create a post of what I think are the best watercolour design elements out there. These are premium products mind you, not free ones. I did search for free watercolour textures but found that they were sub par compared to what you can get from a premium designed product from talented designers. I think you'll be able to notice the difference too.
I just purchased the Mammoth Watercolour Kit designed by Nicky Laatz a few days ago and was really impressed. The kit includes watercolour textures, clipart graphics, patterns, foils, papers and even awesome fonts. It really has everything you need to start whipping up awesome watercolour based designs. I used it on my design project but also for the featured image of this post. Awesome right? Before I settled on her watercolour kit I did an hour or so of research checking out all other other products available. I'll most likely be purchasing more in the future because they save so much time. Creating these type of posts helps me bookmark stuff that I like and would purchase in the future. So, below you'll find the other watercolour design elements that I think are awesome.
Hope you enjoyed this post and it saved you some time! Happy designing and if you're a mom, Happy Mother's Day!
Thanks for this. You are a lifesaver!
Watercolour is one of those beautiful effects that seem to really personalise a website 🙂
