Photography HTML Templates
Are you good with HTML or editing web templates? You might want to consider using an HTML template for your photography site instead of using wordpress. WordPress has a lot of advantages but some people might not need all the features. In that case you can build your site using simple HTML.
I have a post on Photographer HTML Templates that I've recently written you can check out.

Which is a great way to stay in touch with your clients and fans. In that case here's a post on HTML email template you can use. Simply copy and paste in your content.
So this is my list of photographer WordPress themes. I've spent a lot of time putting this list together and have just upated it further. All of these themes work with the current release of WordPress 3.0.1

– you’re in oslo too I see.
kult.
Hi, can you tell me the name of the plugin that is used to do the on the fly image resizing and also whether you sell it as a standalone product.
The reason being that I’m building an fsbo real estate network based on wordpress and one of the constant problems has been the difficulty in allowing clients to easily upload their images when they are very large.
Many thanks – Andrew – Australia
woothemes rocks!
I am very interesting in Your templates. But I have a question, may I sell again the templates I have purchased from You. Thanks for the answer..
Hi, no you cannot resell these templates. They are protected by each of their protected owners. This is just a list of wordpress templates you can get if you’re a photographer.
I’m not sure. It’s usually built into the theme and wordpress has a built in image resizer itself so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
Hi I try to look for a very simple layout; a filmstrip at the bottom under the main photo displayed. When you click on an image in the filmstrip the image is displayed as the main picture. I dont need any blogging or anything like tha, just some simple links to contact, about me etc and then a catagories page, with catagories laid out as a film strip. Can anyone help I have look everywhere and can’t find anything like this. Infact i can’t find anything with a film strip, can any one please hellllllllllpppppp 🙁 thanks
What are themes for photographers without the EXIF data for the photos… Fresh Foto theme comes packaged with script to pull the information and display them in style….
http://www.freshlimesoda.us/wp-themes/freshfoto-premium-wordpress-theme/
Hi Vishal, Interesting theme. Kinda confusing though. Flickr already displays Exif data and I’m sure most professional photographers don’t want to include Exif data on their portfolio sites because the images are usually manipulated, scanned from film and are the focus, not the data. Exif data is usually only used by photographers to make adjustments or by investigators 🙂

@Jeff
That’s funny… Investigators… I agree
The reason I thought about EXIF is because now a days there are editors available which allows you to manipulate the EXIF information. Also if you are good photographer wanting to display your photos, I would think you want to show the aperture, focus, ISO and yada-yada… The way I have implemented is that I don’t display all the information but only the useful ones…. something like below
Focal Length: 70/1
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/125
Manufacturer: Canon
Model: Canon EOS 5D
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3 Windows
Focal Number: 16/1
Aperture: f/16.0
Flash: shot
Date: 26-04-2008
Time: 23:39:52
Thank you very much for this listing! This is what I was looking for…
Kind regards from Germany
Stefan
nice collection 🙂
Hey Jeff,
Just wanted to say thanks again for listing the Photocrati themes here. You’ve got a great site, and this is a nice collection of themes here. We’re happy to be included. Keep up the great work.
Erick
No problem Erick,, I’m happy to list your themes for photographers here. People really seem to like them.
cool, so many themes for photographers~
thx!
I am looking for a theme (and I believe this is what “real estate” meant by his post), that displays your photos and allows sitegoers to purchase them as prints. A photo blog with eCommerce built in?
I know I can get it as a widget, but I am looking for something more embedded. Any ideas?
Andy – Not sure about wordpress, but I do know there are other website scripts out there that will allow you to sell your digital prints. I’ll have to do a post on using wordpress for ecommerce soon.
Nice list here. I’m particularly fond of the Revolution2 Album Theme. I’m looking to start a new personal blog and that theme might be enough for me to choose WordPress over Tumblr. Thanks.
Jeff, these are great thank you! I’m in the middle of creating a website for a local photographer, I think this resource will help immensely.
I just bought from prophotoblogs.com and I havent used it yet. I installed it but not yet used. I’m new to wordpress thingy, might take a while for me to grasp…. and i found your site, and it’s cool, so many options. Do you know what’s the difference between prophotoblogs.com with these wordpress themes?
This is a awsome list of WordPress themes. I switched over from Joomla some time back and find myself much happier with the flexibility of the WordPress content management system.
Very interesting… Right now I’m using prophoto, but I’m not completely satisfied with the extent of customization available so I’m shopping around.
Wow, great list. This has helped out so much. Are any of these themes particularly good for SEO? Do any of them stand out from the crowd? Im looking for a elegant style theme that has a built in blog section but that is also good for seo… any help would be appreciated!
thanks for the article.. i wish there were more photography sites that had ecommerce though 🙁
I am a non-IT photographer, do not know anything about setting up a web site. Can you suggest which is the MOST easy WordPress Themes for Photographers to choose? I just want a simply web site with side shows on my web. And this will be my first time to write a web site. Thank you
p.s. I am using Go-Daddy.com as Internet provider
Hi I want my site to be setup a bit different. Are you willing to customize these templates for a fee?
If so, I can send you a site that I want to model this after.
hi, Can you help. I want to get one of these , but I need a client login area so they can see their images , but it needs to be locked and only they can access their section. Can this be done or added? thanks
This is a stellar list, thank you!
How much is Chocolate theme?? I see no pricing- is it free?
Nice work
